I have always thought of art as an extension of a person's identity. I have taught art for the last 11 years after getting formal training at the university level. My inspiration comes directly from my teaching and interaction with students. My work is centered around simplicity, pattern, and color; three quality traits in art that I always teach to my students. I believe that the creation of a piece should be enjoyable for the artist and pleasing to look at. My work is created with delicate care and fine attention to detail. I also believe that the most critical judgement of a work of art should come from the artist themselves. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If one has fun making and interacting with the piece, or one enjoys looking at the piece, then the work has merit and value. I hope you enjoy my work as I have enjoyed making them.
